Poly-L-Lactic Acid
The science of stimulating your own collagen production...
Learn more →Restore natural volume by stimulating your own collagen production

Sculptra is unique among aesthetic injectables — it doesn't add volume directly, it makes your own body produce new collagen. The result: gradual, natural-looking facial rejuvenation that lasts 18–25 months and avoids the "overfilled" appearance.
Sculptra contains poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biocompatible substance that has been used in medicine for decades (dissolvable sutures, bone screws). When injected in the face, PLLA microspheres trigger fibroblasts to produce new type I collagen — the same collagen your body made abundantly in your 20s.
Because the volume comes from your own collagen (not an artificial filler), the result integrates perfectly with your facial anatomy and ages naturally with you. There is no risk of looking "filled" or "puffy" — just restored.
Mid-face volumization, cheek hollows, temples, jawline restoration, neck and décolletage rejuvenation. Sculptra is NOT for lips or tear troughs (HA fillers are better there). It excels in larger volume areas.
Typical protocol: 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Each session involves injection of reconstituted Sculptra, followed by 5 minutes of facial massage. Massage is crucial for proper distribution. Patients are taught to massage at home for 5 days post-treatment.
Days 1–7: initial swelling from saline (not final result). Weeks 2–6: silent phase as collagen begins forming. Months 2–4: visible improvement emerges. Months 4–6: peak results. Patience is essential — Sculptra rewards waiting.
18 to 25 months for most patients. The PLLA microspheres dissolve within 6 months, but the new collagen they stimulated remains for years. Touch-up sessions every 18 months maintain optimal results.
