Endolifting and Botox tackle different aspects of facial aging — endolifting addresses structural laxity while Botox relaxes dynamic wrinkles. Combined correctly, they produce complete facial rejuvenation. Here's the protocol we use in Medellín.
Why combine the two treatments
Endolifting alone tightens skin and lifts jowls but doesn't affect expression wrinkles in the upper face. Botox alone relaxes forehead, glabella and crow's feet but does nothing for sagging skin. Together they address both planes of aging simultaneously.
Recommended sequence
Best protocol: Botox first, endolifting 2–3 weeks later. Reason: this lets the Botox effect settle so we can plan endolifting without interference. If you must do them in the same session, Botox is applied at the very end — after endolifting to avoid displacing the toxin with manipulation.
Areas to combine
Common combination: Botox in forehead/glabella/crow's feet + endolifting in jawline + double chin. Some patients add Botox in the masseter to slim the face, which complements jawline endolifting beautifully.
Maintenance schedule
Botox is repeated every 4–6 months. Endolifting lasts 2–4 years. So a typical combined patient does Botox 2–3 times per year and endolifting maintenance every 2–3 years — sustainable rejuvenation without major procedures.
Safety and contraindications
When performed by an experienced physician (not technician), the combination is very safe. Avoid the combination during pregnancy, active facial infection, or if you take blood thinners. Always disclose all medications and supplements during your consultation with Dr. Catalina Henao.
