Knowing what to expect after endolifting helps you plan time off, social events and activities. Here is the day-by-day recovery based on dozens of patient experiences in our Medellín practice.
Day 0 — The procedure day
After local anesthesia and the procedure (60–90 minutes), expect mild burning sensation that fades in 2–3 hours. Slight redness and beginning swelling. You can drive yourself home. Sleep elevated on 2 pillows. Apply cold compresses (15 min on, 15 off) for the first 6 hours.
Days 1–3 — Peak swelling
Maximum swelling occurs at 48 to 72 hours post-treatment. Some bruising may appear in lower face and neck. Mild tenderness when chewing or smiling. Continue cold compresses days 1–2, then transition to room temperature. Sleep elevated. Take prescribed anti-inflammatory if recommended.
Days 4–7 — Visible improvement
Swelling begins fading noticeably. Bruising changes from purple to yellow. Skin starts feeling tighter — early lift visible. Most patients return to work between days 3 and 5 (some lasting bruising can be covered with makeup from day 5).
Week 2 — Social readiness
Residual mild swelling only. Skin tightening clearly visible. Compression garment can usually be discontinued (continue at night for one more week if extensive treatment). Light exercise can be resumed. Avoid intense workouts, sauna, and direct sun for one more week.
Month 1+ — Full results
By month 1, the lifting effect is well-established. Collagen production peaks at month 3–4 with continuous improvement. Final result visible at month 6. Throughout this period, daily SPF 50, hydration and antioxidant skincare maximize the result.
